Christina
Forrester Selected 2006
Jefferson County Dairy Princess
 Christina Forrester
discusses where milk comes from with children at Dairy Pageant as part of the competition. |
The Jefferson County Dairy Princess Banquet
and Coronation was held May 19th at Northside Improvement League with 100 in attendance. A
milk punch reception was held prior to the event, while a panel of three judges was
individually interviewing the candidates.
The judging process also includes an impromptu question and an elementary school
demonstration done before the audience. The elementary school demonstration teaches the
importance of a healthy diet that includes dairy products and what the milk producing
process involves. Each candidate develops her own presentation.
Christina Forrester was crowned the 2006 Jefferson County Dairy Princess at the end of the
competition. Christina is the daughter of Dennis and Carol Forrester of Ellisburg, New
York. Christina helps her family milk cows and do other chores on their 90 cow Holstein
operation. Christina will be a senior at Belleville Henderson High School next
year. Miss Forrester is active on the yearbook committee at high school and at the
Watertown Mennonite Church.
According to Christinas mom Carol, she is a very determined young woman who works
hard in school achieving honor roll status every quarter. Mrs. Forrester added,
Im so proud of her to reach her dream shes had for the past four
years. Christina loves children, Mrs. Forrester said, which fits
naturally with her role as Dairy Princess.
The outgoing Dairy Princess Danielle Hosmer and her court recently received notice that
this past years events has earned them the honor of being the State American Dairy

Dairy Princess Pageant held in Syracuse in February 2007.
