Jay Matteson host of The Home Grown Show serves as Jefferson County's Agricultural Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer for the Jefferson County Agricultural Development Corporation. Through the Corporation, Jay has hosted the Home Grown Show since it was first created in 2001. Mr. Matteson has worked as a high school sports broadcaster for local radio stations. Jay has written numerous articles and editorials about farming and is frequently quoted by local news media. He's been recognized for his work in educating the public about agriculture by the NYS Agricultural Society's Ag Journalism Awards Program.
