Watertown, NY. The 2018 Jefferson County Agricultural Development Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 23, 2018. The conference will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn at 1290 Arsenal Street in Watertown.  The program is free to attend but one must register by March 16, Please use this simple form to register or call 315-782-5865.

Bringing Farms to School across the North Country, The Drive for 25 Program. Assemblywoman Addie Jenne and the Adirondack North Country Association
Developing the International Agribusiness Park of the Thousand Islands and a report on the USDA Meat Processing Facility Feasibility Study. Mike Lundy of Lundy Development Companies and Dakota Global Consulting.
Keynote Presentation – Opportunities and Challenges to Growth in Agriculture for 2018 and Beyond. Mr. Moe Russell, Russell Consulting Group.

Our keynote speaker, Moe Russell, is the cofounder of Russell Consulting Group, a leading provider of marketing and financial advice to crop and livestock producers.  With its proven model of risk discovery, planning and analysis, Russell Consulting helps its clients reach their farm’s financial goals and desired profit marks. The company’s benchmarking data for Machinery and Labor cost per acre is valued by producers throughout North America. Moe is a frequent business speaker on motivation, planning and entrepreneurship. He developed a webinar series on commodity marketing and writes for Farm Journal magazine.

Prior to starting Russell Consulting, Moe Russell spent 26 years with Farm Credit Services and served as Division President, Branch Lending, where he was responsible for 82 lending offices in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. Moe has international consulting experience in Hungary, Czechoslovakia, the Middle East, and South Africa. He is also on the faculty of the “The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers” (TEPAP) program at Texas A & M University.

Moderated by Jay Matteson
